Regional taxation systems: a challenge for Europe

The N-VA MEP Frieda Brepoels organised a conference on tax autonomy in the European Parliament with several nationalist colleagues from Scotland, Catalonia and the Basque Country. Experts compared the tax systems used in the four constitutional regions. In this respect, Jan Jambon, the leader of N-VA parliamentary group, explained the taxation system used in Flanders. Jan naturally did not miss this opportunity to set out the N-VA’s ambition to thoroughly change this system. We were there and prepared this report for you.
